Common questions from skip hire operators.
Do I need a Waste Transfer Note for every skip I collect?
Yes. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, a Duty of Care WTN is legally required every time controlled waste is transferred. WasteBolt makes this a 60-second process rather than a paperwork headache.
Can I use Season Tickets instead of individual WTNs?
For commercial customers where you collect the same type of waste regularly from the same site, a Season Ticket can cover all those collections under one document for up to 12 months. WasteBolt handles both.
What is the Digital Waste Tracking mandate and when does it affect skip hire?
From October 2026, all waste receiving sites must submit electronic records to the EA's DWT platform. If you operate a permitted transfer station or waste facility that receives skips, you'll be required to submit. WasteBolt already does this for you.
How many drivers can I add?
Pro and Enterprise plans include unlimited driver seats at no extra cost. Each seat is a separate login for a driver to create WTNs and log collections in the field.
Can I export my WTNs for an EA inspection?
