How It Works
Four steps, built into the Gate Log you already use.
Turn It On
Settings → Modes → Car Breaker Mode. Admin-only, so it stays off until you deliberately switch it on for your site.
ELV Intake Appears in Gate Log
Every Gate Log Load form gains a dedicated vehicle intake section automatically — no separate app or extra login.
Capture Vehicle, Hazmat & Photos
VIN, make and model, condition, source, a five-point hazmat checklist, and four photo slots — all logged at the point of intake.
Saved to ELV Records
Searchable, editable, exportable as a branded PDF, and automatically linked to the WTN once the gate staging record is processed.
What You Get
Everything an ATF needs to log at intake.
Vehicle Identity
VIN / chassis number, make, model, colour, year of manufacture, engine size, fuel type, and country of registration.
Intake Details
Condition (whole, accident/fire/flood-damaged, stripped), source, mileage, transaction type and amount, plus free-text notes.
Hazmat Checklist
Five-point de-pollution tracking per vehicle: fuel drained, oil drained, battery disconnected, airbags noted, coolant drained.
Photo Evidence
VIN plate, V5C/documents, vehicle and damage photos — auto-compressed on upload so nothing sits waiting to sync.
ELV Records Hub
A dedicated, searchable log of every vehicle intake, with hazmat-completion status and WTN-linked status visible at a glance.

Who is Car Breaker Mode for?
Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs) and car breakers who need to record end-of-life vehicle intake alongside their usual waste transfer paperwork.
Do I need a weighbridge to use it?
No — it's part of the standard Gate Log form, so it works whether or not your site has a weighbridge.
Does it replace my WTN?
No. The ELV record sits alongside your WTN and links to it automatically once the gate staging record is processed — you get both, not one instead of the other.
Can I edit a record after it's saved?
Yes — open it from ELV Records and edit vehicle details or the hazmat checklist at any time. Photos are updated from the original Gate Log form.
Is Certificate of Destruction issuance included?
Not yet — CoD issuance is coming in a future update. Right now, ELV Records covers vehicle intake, hazmat tracking, and PDF export.
Who can turn Car Breaker Mode on?
Primary account admins, from Settings → Modes. It's off by default for every account.
