WasteBolt is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — it installs directly from your browser in seconds, just like a native app. No app store, no download, no waiting.

📱 iPhone & iPad (iOS)

Important: iOS only allows PWA installation through Safari. Chrome, Firefox and other browsers on iPhone cannot install apps to your home screen.

Step 1 — Open Safari and navigate to WasteBolt

Type wastebolt.app into the Safari address bar and tap Go.

Step 2 — Tap the Share button ⬆️

At the bottom of Safari (or top-right on iPad), tap the Share button — a box with an arrow pointing upwards.

Step 3 — Tap “Add to Home Screen”

Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.

Step 4 — Name the app and tap Add

The name will pre-fill as WasteBolt. Tap Add in the top-right corner.

Step 5 — Open from your home screen ✅

WasteBolt now sits on your home screen like any native app. Tap it to launch fullscreen — no Safari address bar, no clutter.

🤖 Android

Step 1 — Open Chrome and go to wastebolt.app

Open Google Chrome and navigate to wastebolt.app.

Step 2 — Install from the banner (easiest)

Chrome often shows an install banner automatically at the bottom of the screen. Tap Install if you see it.

Step 3 — Or install via the Chrome menu

If no banner appears, tap the three-dot menu ⋮ in the top-right corner, then tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

Step 4 — Confirm ✅

Tap Add on the confirmation screen. WasteBolt appears on your home screen and in your app drawer — tap it to launch.

🖥️ Desktop — Mac

Option A — Chrome (recommended)

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to wastebolt.app
  2. Look for the install icon on the right side of the address bar — it looks like a screen with a small arrow (⊕)
  3. Click it and select Install WasteBolt
  4. WasteBolt opens as a standalone window with its own Dock icon

Option B — Safari (Add to Dock)

  1. Open Safari and go to wastebolt.app
  2. In the menu bar click File → Add to Dock…
  3. Name it WasteBolt and click Add
  4. WasteBolt appears in your Dock and opens as a standalone window

Option C — Just use the browser

Bookmark wastebolt.app — every feature works fully in any desktop browser without installing.

🪟 Desktop — Windows

Option A — Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome and go to wastebolt.app
  2. Click the install icon ⊕ on the right side of the address bar
  3. Click Install on the prompt
  4. WasteBolt gets its own taskbar icon and opens as a standalone app

Option B — Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and go to wastebolt.app
  2. Click the three-dot menu … → Apps → Install this site as an app
  3. Name it WasteBolt and click Install

❓ Troubleshooting
