Flagged For Review is where every draft Waste Transfer Note or consignment note lands before it becomes real. Nothing is sent to the Environment Agency until you approve a record and create a WTN from it here.

What Is Flagged For Review?

Open it from Gate → Flagged For Review. Across the top, four numbers give you an at-a-glance summary: Total records waiting, how many already have a template assigned, how many you currently have selected, and the combined Total Weight across every flagged record.

Each row in the table shows:

  • Via — how the record got here (Log New Transfer, Bolt Upload, CSV import, and so on)
  • Company, Product, Haulier, Net Weight, Date — the key details at a glance
  • Template — the matching template assigned, or “None”
  • DWT Readiness — a badge showing whether the record is ready to become a WTN (see below)

Tip: Nothing here is a real, submitted record yet. A load sitting in Flagged For Review is just a draft — edit it, delete it, or leave it as long as you like before creating a WTN.

DWT Readiness Badges

Each record shows a readiness badge, so you can tell what needs attention without opening every row:

Badge Meaning
🟢 Ready Passes every check — ready to submit as-is.
🟡 Warning(s) Has one or more issues worth checking, but nothing blocking — for example a hazardous or POPs waste type that needs a closer look.
🔴 Missing fields Required information is missing — the record needs more detail before it can become a WTN.

Click a badge to see what triggered it, or expand the row’s chevron to open full editing.

Reviewing a Record

Click the chevron on the right of any row to expand it. You’ll see:

  • A status banner confirming readiness (for example “Ready for DWT submission”)
  • Full details: Company/Producer, Haulier/Carrier, Waste Receiver, Product/Waste, Product Code, Gross/Tare/Net Weight, Date, Ticket ID, and the assigned Template

From here, four actions are available:

  • Edit — correct or complete any field directly.
  • Collect Signatures — send the record for Producer, Carrier or Consignee sign-off before it’s finalised.
  • Create Template — save this record’s producer, carrier, consignee and waste details as a reusable template for future loads.
  • Delete — remove the flagged record entirely. Nothing was ever submitted, so deleting here has no compliance impact.

Matching Templates

Assign a template to a record and it auto-fills the producer, carrier, consignee, and waste details for you. Templates also auto-match future loads that fit the same pattern — set one up once, and recurring routes fill themselves from then on.

Selecting and Creating WTNs

Tick the checkbox on one or more rows, and the Create button updates to reflect your selection — for example “Create 3 (2 WTNs + 1 Docket).” Click it to convert every selected record into a real WTN or docket in one action.

  • Delete (next to Create) removes every selected flagged record instead, without creating anything.
  • All Batches filters the list down to a specific import batch, useful when you’ve just brought in a large CSV or weighbridge sync and only want to review that set.
  • Bolt Scan jumps straight to Bolt Upload to add another record by AI-scanning a paper document.
  • Refresh reloads the queue — handy if a colleague or an automated sync has just added new records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does anything reach the Environment Agency automatically?

No. Records in Flagged For Review are drafts only. Nothing is sent to the EA until you select a record and click Create to turn it into a WTN, and a separate DWT submission step after that actually sends it.

Do I have to assign a template before I can create a WTN?

No — templates are optional. You can edit a record’s fields directly and create a WTN from it with no template assigned at all, the same way applying a template is optional on the main Gate review pipeline.

What happens to a record after I click Create?

It leaves Flagged For Review and becomes a real WTN or docket, appearing in your Waste Movements and, once DWT-ready, your Digital Waste Tracking submissions.

Can I recover a record I deleted by mistake?

No — deleting a flagged record removes it permanently. Since nothing was ever submitted, you’d need to log the load again from Gate.
